Among the few female archaeologists in Romania, Iudita Winkler stands out not only for her seriousness and expertise, but also for her life story. A Holocaust survivor, Iudita Winkler overcame her destiny and excelled in numismatics. Based on documents from different sources, this essay follows her life and celebrates her erudition.
